The Quad Squad, our Tuesday evening Young Adult group, has taken on its first assignment: Ghosts!

Over four weeks we will be asking ourselves the following questions:

September 25: What does Scripture say about Ghosts?
October 2: What does the Tradition of the Church say about Ghosts?
October 9: What does my personal Experience tell me about Ghosts?
October 16: What does Reason tell me about Ghosts?

We meet Tuesdays at 7 p.m. This is a Young Adult group specifically for 20 and 30 somethings. Feel free to come and share.

Our Thursday morning Adult Bible study will be looking at Ecclesiastes and James this fall. Our method is simple and anyone is invited to participate. We simply read aloud the scripture, verse by verse, and then work through sticky points and wonder aloud about it. We also often go into parallel discussions and bring in current events. Additionally, we open each session with a time of prayer for our present concerns.

Sound boring? It really isn't. It's just simple and heartfelt and occassionally challenging. Come and join us and find out for yourself. We meet Thursdays at 10:45 a.m.

We “TOOK THE PLUNGE” into worship, courage, faith, service and obedience with 25 children and many adult volunteers on July 31st and August 1st and 2nd.

Tuesday found us listening to a story about fishermen who obeyed Jesus and caught many fish (Luke 5:1-10). Also, we were caught in a horrible storm and Jesus told us to not be afraid and have courage. He then calmed the seas (Matthew 8:23-27).

Wednesday brought us to the lakeshore where we met Peter who shared a story of how Jesus washed the feet of the disciples (John 13:14). We painted our feet, walked the path with Jesus and washed each others feet. We were also visited by a Samarian woman at the well (John 4:5-30) who shared how Jesus had met her at the well and how she was sure that He was the savior.

On Thursday, August 2nd, Peter visited and shared an amazing story of how Jesus walked on water (Matthew 14: 22-23). The rest of our time was spent in the pool at the AmericInn.
